Billing Team Secures Long-Requested Whiteboard After Classifying It as Kevin's Communication Training

The Whiteboard Kevin Cannot Read

Billing clerk Dana Mitchell has succeeded in obtaining a whiteboard for HIMstrata's claims department after describing the equipment as an essential component of Kevin's communication development.

The department had requested a shared status board several months earlier to track deadlines, coverage, and outstanding claim issues.

The request remained pending under the office supply budget.

During a meeting about Kevin's ongoing professional development, Mitchell suggested that employees might communicate more effectively with the automation if operational priorities were displayed in a central location.

The original request called it a shared visual reference for billing staff. Dana’s revised proposal described an interactive communication resource supporting digital workforce integration.

Human Resources supported the proposal.

The $89 whiteboard was approved under Kevin's digital workplace improvement budget.

Developer Marcus Lee confirmed that the script had no ability to read the board.

"That's fine," Mitchell said. "We can."

The board was installed near the billing department's main work area and now displays daily priorities, staff coverage, and unresolved issues requiring attention.

Employees say it has reduced unnecessary status emails.

Finance classified the expense as part of Kevin's communication training.

Mitchell has requested markers in four colors.

The markers were approved the same afternoon.
